The University of Alberta Museums and SNAP Gallery and Printshop is proud to host a family-friendly silkscreen printing workshop. Drop in any time between 12:30-3:30 p.m. at the University of Alberta Museums Galleries at Enterprise Square to participate. A skilled SNAP member will help participants create their own stencils and designs that they will transfer onto a blank screen to create their own silkscreen prints. The workshop will take roughly 30-45 minutes. Come in and try your hand at printmaking and see our exhibition celebrating printmaking in Edmonton and around the world, A Little Bit of Infinity.
In 1982, a handful of artists established SNAP as an independent, cooperatively-run fine art printshop in Edmonton. SNAP is dedicated to the promotion of both traditional and experimental printmaking practices including prints, artists’ books, posters and print-based installation as well as new, experimental and hybrid forms. They have since grown and added a gallery and a second printshop. More information.
